Peace Mountain Herbal Tisane x 3 Tins (9.3 oz. ) 90 Cups
Our lovely tasting Peace Mountain Blend is a tisane. A Tisane is product that can be enjoyed as a tea. However, it does not actually contain the tea leaf (camillia sinesis). It also typically doesn't contain caffeine as the tea leaf naturally does. It is a term that was invented by the French to distinguish actual tea blends from all other botanical beverage concoctions. Here in the USA the term "tea" is quite loosely used, and most often pan-inclusive. For example, we have all heard the term "chamomile tea". Well , unless the chamomile is blended with actual tea leaves it would be properly categorized as a tisane. However, with the inclusion of added tea leaves, it would be correctly called an herbal tea.
